Puppy Love Update

If you read my post earlier today, you'd know how excited I was at the prospect of getting a puppy.  You'd also know that the puppy we picked out was diagnosed with Parvo and hospitalized, but was responding to treatment.

Sadly, I learned a few hours ago that our puppy died.

I wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and lovely comments.  We're back in the puppy search, and I'm hoping I can still tell you to stay tuned for puppy pictures.

  2. Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that :-( It may be tough, but perhaps it's for the best. A breeder who's dogs get parvo may not be a quality choice. So sorry for you and your family to lose the pup!

  11. Thats awful! So sorry about your little pup! Good luck on the search!
I agree with your first post when you said no time is the best time for a puppy. With a crazy military life I thought we would never have a dog. I just don't think I have the energy for one. We got a great dane the day before I found out I was pregnant. How's that for a surprse?
I checked the local paper and craigslist often before we finally found our dog. Keep your chin up and you'll find out. It just takes time.
