Project Gratitude Day 79

PROJECT GRATITUDE DAY 79:
I am thankful for Super Mario Brothers for making me feel like a kid again.  All those hours of playing Nintendo back in the 80's is paying off as I bond with my son over some quality Wii time.  Although I didn't know whether to be embarrassed or proud when he said, "Wow Mom, you're good."

  1. I am thankful for Mario Brothers too! My son LOVES to play it on the wii, but always asks for help. He is able to play Mario on our super nintendo though and it entertains him for quite some time. And that is what I'm thankful for!

Not that I let Mario babysit my children, or not pay attention to them, but sometimes momma just needs a little break. Mario comes in handy. ;)

  2. Be proud. Your son thinks you're awesome, that's definitely something to be proud of. Thank you for your kind words. We're doing a lot better. When Jake was in 3A they put him on new meds, there are A LOT of pills but he says he can feel like himself through them and not like "a zombie" anymore which is good. It's all about finding the right mix to deal with the symptoms. We've also moved to a new, much smaller town, where he feels much more relaxed and not so anxious all of the time. We love it here, he actually sleeps through half the night most nights and occasionally a full night. We left the house in the care of some friends and the realtor. Hopefully it sells, if not, oh well, they'll foreclose on it but the house we're renting now is owned by another military family and they've offered to sell it to us in a few years so hopefully that will all work out because this house is beautiful. But anyway, sorry for the book. We're doing great now, thankfully. You sound like an awesome mom. I wish video games had been around when we were kids so I could've schooled my mom.

  3. This is so sweet. My husband and I have played the old games on Wii and while he still is good at them, I can't play like I did when I was younger.
